Kettlebell Thruster

The kettlebell thruster combines a front squat with an overhead press in one fluid movement, creating a demanding full-body exercise. Hold the bell in the rack, squat deep, then explode up and press the bell overhead.

How to Perform

1

Hold the kettlebell in the front rack position at chest height.

2

Squat down to full depth with elbows high and chest up.

3

Drive explosively out of the squat and use the momentum to press the bell overhead.

4

Lock out the arm fully at the top before lowering back to the rack.

5

Immediately descend into the next squat for a fluid movement.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Pausing between the squat and press, losing the momentum transfer.

Pressing the bell forward instead of straight overhead.

Not squatting deep enough to generate full leg drive.
