Cable Crossover
The cable crossover allows you to cross your hands past the midline of your body for a deeper chest contraction than standard flies. Standing between two cable stations provides constant tension through the full range of motion.
How to Perform
Set both pulleys to the highest position and grab the handles with a slight forward lean.
Start with arms extended wide, elbows slightly bent, chest open.
Bring your hands together and slightly past each other at waist level.
Squeeze the chest hard at the bottom and return slowly to the stretched position.
Alternate which hand crosses on top each rep.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Standing too upright, which shifts the work from the chest to the shoulders.
Using too much weight and bending at the waist to compensate.
Cutting the range of motion short and not crossing the hands past midline.
