Cable Overhead Curl

The cable overhead curl is performed with arms outstretched at shoulder height between two cable stacks, curling the handles toward your ears. It mimics a front double-biceps pose and provides constant tension.

How to Perform

1

Set both cables to shoulder height and stand in the center, arms extended to each side.

2

Curl both handles toward your ears by flexing the elbows — do not move the upper arms.

3

Squeeze the biceps hard in the fully contracted position.

4

Extend the arms back to the start slowly, maintaining tension throughout.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Dropping the elbows below shoulder height, which reduces the biceps stretch.

Stepping forward or backward to cheat the weight instead of keeping feet planted.

Using too much weight and losing the mind-muscle connection.
